Account Code Structure
Budget managers should understand the basic structure of the Account Codes used in the St. Vrain Valley School District. Account codes delineate between instructional and non-instructional codes as well as discretionary funds and FTE funds. Download the Access Code Reference document here.
The general fund budgets in SVVSD are established year to year, there is typically no carryover. Funds should be spent by the end of May. April projections are the basis for the next year budget buildout. After Oct 1, budgets are trued up to reflect accurate student count. Budget managers are expected to keep a careful watch on their funds. Maintaining a separate ledger to document your expenditures is a good strategy to that will help you in reconciling your purchases in Infinite Visions. See slides on General Fund, Instructional/Non-Instructional Budgets
Infinite Visions is a web-based browser that is accessible inside and outside the district network by going to iv.svvsd.org. This application should be used to approve purchase orders, journal entries, personnel changes and review expenditures. Purchase card payments are approved through the Wells Fargo system. See slides on WorkFlow to support use of Infinite Visions.
