Equations, Online! Training Opportunity for Teachers and Students

Equations, Online!  Training Opportunity for Teachers and Students

Buzz Allen, President of the Accelerated Learning Foundation and project director for Online EQUATIONS will be making a special presentation for teachers and administrators who want to learn more about this exciting learning tool. The game EQUATIONS has doubled math achievement and cut absenteeism in inner city schools from 30% to 10%. EQUATIONS is now available to play online, making it a valuable resource for teachers who utilize technology in their curriculum.

At the beginning of the summer, SVVSD students pioneered the first international Online EQUATIONS tournament with students in India. Thereafter, students from Michigan and Ohio joined in and the students played weekly for the duration of the summer.

SVVSD has approved Online EQUATIONS as a continuing education course for teachers for credit this fall. Come learn how you can use this program in your math classes!
