Mary Ellen Graziani

I began exploring the field of education in high school when I worked at a summer camp for students with special needs and continued pursuing this interest as a backcountry field instructor in a wilderness therapy program for adjudicated youth.  These experiences solidified my desire to work with students and I started working in public education as a special education paraprofessional in Bayfield, Colorado.  After completing my Master’s degree in Instruction and Curriculum and obtaining a secondary social studies teaching license I began teaching in the St. Vrain Valley School District, first at Frederick High School and then Silver Creek High School.

In 2013 I took the leap out of the classroom to work on St. Vrain’s Learning Technology Plan (LTP) as an Instructional Technology Coordinator.  This has been an amazing and challenging experience.

Originally a New Yorker, I came to Colorado in 2000 to enjoy the outside.  I first landed in Durango, then bounced to Telluride and finally settled in the front range.  I am a proud mom of two wonderful little kids.  When I am not at work I am chasing them around and discovering the wonder of the world through their eyes.
