Lyons Elementary’s Model of RtI

Lyon’s Elementary has a great model of RtI putting Professional Learning Communities and Data Driven Dialogue at the forefront.  They have three vertical teams.  The purpose of these teams that meet on a monthly basis is to have rich discussions on data and what is working and not working.  In addition, the vertical teams purpose is to mirror the problem solving team.

Beyond the three vertical teams, they also have the problem solving team that meets bimonthly.  The problem solving process is a critical component to RtI. 

This model is fluid, provides on going dialogue and eventually becomes a building process.
