Student Attendance & Engagement

The Student Attendance and Engagement Department works in collaboration with our schools to identify and remove barriers that impact regular student attendance. In Colorado, every child who has attained the age of six years on or before August 1 of each year and is under the age of seventeen years shall attend public school for a minimum amount of hours each school year. For more information on Colorado’s Compulsory Attendance Law, please visit the Colorado Department of Education’s website.
