Rocky Mountain Conservancy High School Leadership Corps
Here is an opportunity for high school students to spend two-weeks learning and working in Rocky Mountain National Park through the Rocky Mountain Conservancy – High School Leadership Corps.
The Rocky Mountain Conservancy – High School Leadership Corps is an immersive 12-day experience. In 2018, there will be two sessions: June 11-22 and July 16-27. Each session will host 10 high school students. Students must be under 18 years of age during the program.
Participants will camp in Rocky Mountain National Park for the duration of the experience. During the program, youth will complete service projects, engage in a variety of trainings related to career and personal development, and participate in experiential learning activities in RMNP. The experience will culminate with a picnic, and youth will be invited to reflect on their experience with Conservancy staff, NPS facilitators and their families.
The program will be led by two Conservancy staff who will be with youth throughout the 12-day experience, camping at the campground, teaching programs, leading projects, and guiding campsite activities.
Participants will receive a $400 stipend upon completion of the program. Additionally, the Rocky Mountain Conservancy provides housing (camping), work clothing, boots and gear for the experience.
