Ecredit Recovery is enrolling students NOW for credit recovery classes. Registration closes September 9 and classes start September 18. Register at www.ecreditrecovery.com. Please see your Counselor before registering, to make sure you’re picking the correct class.
This year’s College Fair is just around the corner. All students are invited to attend and meet reps from colleges around the state and nation. This year’s fair is at Skyline High School on Tuesday, September 23 from 6-7:30 pm. Look for flyers around campus for the QR code to register in advance or see your Counselor for more information.
Seniors, the Better Business Foundation scholarship deadline is Sept. 25 Go to www.tomorrowsMarketplace.org for an application or see your Counselor for more information.
If students/families need to meet with counselors for something other than a schedule change, please make an appointment prior to your visit. Due to enrolling new students, counselors will not be taking drop-ins at this time.

Homecoming Dance and Football Game
Come out and support the Silver Creek Raptors as they take on Thompson Valley for their Homecoming Football game on Friday September 19th at 7:00 p.m. at Everly Montgomery field (Longmont High School).
Saturday September 20th will be the Homecoming Dance at Silver Creek from 8:00-11:00 p.m. in the gymnasium. Permission forms can be picked up in the Main Office or downloaded here. If Silver Creek students are bringing guests from other schools, their administrators and parents need to sign prior to attending the dance. For questions call the office at 720-494-3721.

TO EXCUSE AN ABSENCE – please contact Heidi Feula at 720-494-9662 or email email@example.com. Be sure to include the student’s first and last name as well as the date and reason for the absence. The absence must be called in or emailed within 48 hours of the absence in order to be excused.
TAKING YOUR STUDENT OUT OF SCHOOL DURING THE SCHOOL DAY– If you would like to pull your student out of school during the school day, please send him/her to school with a signed note indicating the time you would like him/her to be excused.
First thing that morning, the student will need to go to the attendance window to exchange your note for a school excusal pass. When your student needs to leave class, he/she will present the school pass to the teacher, grab belongings and exit class. Students leaving early should always sign out at the attendance window. You can meet your child at the attendance window or you can tell him/her to sign out and meet you outside. The attendance clerk will use your note to excuse your student in Infinite Campus.
Fall sports have started!
There will be second chance tryouts for the cheerleading squad on Monday, August 25 and Tuesday, August 26 from 2:30 to 4:30 in the wrestling room. Those interested in trying out need to be cleared by Ms. Lehman in the Athletic office before tryouts. To be cleared, you will need to complete the Online Registration Form and provide a copy of the student-athlete’s current SVVSD Student Medical History and Screening Form (including a physician’s signature stating student-athlete is cleared for athletic participation).

Interested in Carpooling
Carpooling saves time and money as well as congestion in the school parking lot. If you live outside the Silver Creek Boundaries or inside consider sharing a ride to school. Click on the carpooling form, add your information and contact those that live near year to begin carpooling. This is completely optional and is not organized through Silver Creek High School or the Main Office.
SCOPA Bingo times are: Saturdays from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. and Sundays from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Bingo Alley near Main and 19th Street. For more exciting news about the performing arts go toSCOPANEWS.ORG!

Silver Creek Education Foundation
The school’s Education Foundation is dedicated to supporting our teachers, staff and classrooms. We have donated money to provide laptops and laptop carts, document cameras, novel sets, a cello, registration fees, iPads, leadership capstone projects and more to the school in the past five years. We are looking for parent volunteers. Please check out the opportunities on the attached form and let us know where you would like to help. There is something for everyone – work that can be done from home, work on an as needed basis for projects/events, and serving on the board, a committee or a task force. Any questions? Important Bus Pass Information for Parents of Students Riding the Bus
Students only receive one free bus pass. Should your student require a replacement pass, please contact the Bus Pass coordinator by sending an email to email@example.com or calling 303-702-7540. The replacement cost for lost, stolen and/or mutilated bus passes is $5.00 and shows up as fee under your student’s name in Infinite Campus.

We want you as an RABC member! Your membership will help us to update athletic equipment, subsidize student clubs and continue providing excellent activities and athletic opportunities for our kids. Your membership means a great deal to our school as we face declining revenue and budgets for our schools. Meetings are the 4th Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Silver Creek Library.

Bingo is a huge fundraiser for our school and our athletic department. We operate Bingo every Wednesday night and need workers from 5:30 until about 9:00 at the Longmont Bingo hall, 640 19th Avenue, Longmont, CO 80501.
Low Cost Health Insurance
Students who are 18 and graduating may be eligible to for FREE and LOW-COST HEALTH INSURANCE through their 19th birthdays! This health insurance is available through Medicaid and CHP+ and enrollment occurs right here through St Vrain Valley School District. Once children turn 18 and are no longer in school, Medicaid no longer counts parent income towards the child’s eligibility!
