Booster Club’s 4th Season of Dancing with the Silver Creek Stars fundraiser this past Saturday was simply a wonderful event!

Our Emcee’s, Erick Finnestead and Michelle Wright

Personally, I cannot  find strong enough words to say how much I appreciate everyone who helped to make this event the most successful one yet!  I will not be able to mention everyone individually for fear of forgetting someone, but you know who you are and I do as well, and I thank you!  We had the most wonderful parents who went above and beyond to gather sponsorships and silent auction items for this event.  We were able to bring in over $2000 in sponsorships and over $7000 for our silent auction items for our programs.  THANK YOU – we could not have done this without you!!

The day of the event, we had the best group of volunteers show up to help us set up and decorate.  What a blessing each one of these people were!  THANK YOU for taking time out of your day to help in this way!

Later that day/night, we had several more volunteers step in to help throughout the event in different places – check in, auction supervisors, hostesses, voter counters, clean up, etc.  Again, THANK YOU, we could not have done it without you.

AND, to everyone who attended the event and voted by your donations that night or online – THANK YOU!!  You helped raised over $7000 for our programs!

I do want to put a shout out to these key people and let them know their time is valuable and we appreciate them sharing some of it with us!!

IMPORTANT BUS INFORMATION

Attached you will find a MS Word Document that reiterates to parents that student bus passes are required to be stored and kept in a safe place over the summer to avoid their loss, and the subsequent cost of a replacement pass.  In addition, the letter also talks about the implementation of Zpass+, a notification system which sends time and location messages via phone text to parents when their student scans on and off the bus.  This is a great program that provides another level of safety and security for the students of SVVSD.  Parents are truly going to love this new functionality.  The system is currently active and ready for parents to sign up for an account and begin receiving these valuable text notifications.

Z Pass+ information – In an effort to better serve you, we are implementing a program called Z Pass+ this year.  This free program will allow parents to receive text and/or email notifications via their smart phone whenever their student scans on or off the bus.  This technology is invaluable, and provides an additional layer of safety and security for District students utilizing transportation services.  The following link has directions on how to sign up.

Please open the following link for more important bus information.
