Frontiers of Science Institute at UNC

FSI is a 53-year-old residential summer program dedicated to boosting the STEM aspirations and achievement of Colorado’s juniors and seniors. During the six-week summer session FSI students are matched with a mentor to complete a focused scientific research project. FSI activities are sponsored by foundations, corporations and individuals interested in youth STEM education.

When: mid-June and concludes end of July (6 weeks)

Where: UNC Greeley

Who: Students interested in STEM, currently in their sophomore and junior year of high school may apply

How do I apply: Complete and return a full-application by the first week in March.

USA Gap Year Fairs

Students interested in a program that bridges their senior year of high school, and that of their freshman year in college should look at a Gap Year. A Gap year program gives students not only freedom to explore their interests but can set them up for career paths.

FRCC Machining Career Fair

Interested in a great opportunity to make a lot of money after graduation? Front Range (Longmont) campus is the only campus around that is offering this awesome program. FRCC is offering an Open House on Tuesday, November 18 from 5:00 – 6:30 p.m. to learn about the program.

Early Action Deadline looms for CU Boulder

CU-Boulder’s November 15 early action application deadline is quickly approaching. Please encourage your students to not wait until the last minute to submit their applications!

Here’s a reminder of what your students need to submit in order to complete their applications on time:

  • Admissions application
  • High school and/or college transcripts
  • Two essays
  • Official SAT and/or ACT scores
  • Letter of recommendation
  • $50 non-refundable application fee ($70 for international students)

Students who meet the November 15 early action deadline will have their admission decision by February 1.
