I Have a Dream Scholarship in honor of MLK

So Falcons do you know why you have this upcoming Monday off from school? It’s not because SVVSD thought you needed extra sleep or to go sledding. Rather it’s to honor an incredibly influential man who pushed for civil rights. Martin Luther King Jr. was born on January 15, and his birthday is celebrated every third Monday in January.

And to honor Dr. King, perhaps you would like to speak about one of your dreams. Here is a scholarship that any one aged 13 or older can apply for. Thank Dr. King when you win.

Welcome back Falcons!

I hope everyone had a lovely Winter Break! I know we’re jumping in to the fun with both feet but here are a few reminders about upcoming events and deadlines:

  • Friday, January 8 (tomorrow) is the last day to register for the February 6th ACT! Register now!
  • Wednesday, January 13th from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. is Financial Aid Night hosted by SHS. Bring your parents and get your questions answered about FAFSA and scholarships
  • eCredit Recovery is open to seniors only through Friday, January 8. All students can register starting on Monday, January 11.
