Hey, if you’re a first generation (first in your family to attend college) and a student of color, check out this scholarship from CESDA.
Happy snowy Friday Falcons! As the snow falls and makes messes of our streets, I hope you dreaming about summer and all the possibilities that lie before you with your 2.5 months of freedom.
Speaking of the possibilities have you considered the awesome option to not only experience something fun but something to make you smarter, improve your college applications/resumes? Check out Girl’s State and Boy’s State! You can work with your peers from all over Colorado and learn about government and actually start influencing policy. It’s five days in June (June 5 – 10) and you get to hang on college campuses, work on actual issues, and figure out how to make a difference.
Hey my little photographers, here is an awesome scholarship you can win/earn for your passion. Check out the documents and go win some dinero.
Hey! If you’re interested in the THRIVING industry and don’t want to spend more than 18 months in a classroom (though it is a hands-on classroom) you should check out the Machining program at FRCC. There is a scholarship for $1,500, which you should check out too! I’ve attached the details.
There is a great opportunity for any and all students to get involved in their community and find support. Out Boulder, OASOS and the Y (YMCA) are hosting a Youth Group for LGBTIQQIA (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, intersex and asexual) students and their allies (all the people who support). No parent consent is needed and students can just stop by. The details are here:
Every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the Longmont YMCA (950 Lashley Street). For more information contact Taylor from OASOS: (303)579-2676.
Morning Falcons! Today is a great day in your Falcon lives. Today we start registration for the 2016/2017 school year. By the time you’re reading this you should have received your registration packet (pink = future sophomores, blue = future juniors and green = future seniors) in your Unity (Advisory) class. You should speak with your teachers, counselors and parents/guardians about your class choices.
If you’ve failed a class at any point, make sure you speak with your counselor to see about your credit recovery options.
Happy choosing Falcons!
