Happy snowy Friday Falcons! As the snow falls and makes messes of our streets, I hope you dreaming about summer and all the possibilities that lie before you with your 2.5 months of freedom.
Speaking of the possibilities have you considered the awesome option to not only experience something fun but something to make you smarter, improve your college applications/resumes? Check out Girl’s State and Boy’s State! You can work with your peers from all over Colorado and learn about government and actually start influencing policy. It’s five days in June (June 5 – 10) and you get to hang on college campuses, work on actual issues, and figure out how to make a difference.
Lady Falcons! This is a great resume builder (think college, think work, think politics) and you absolutely can make a difference by attending this prestigious (and nationally known) program. If you’re interested in making a difference in our world, Girl’s State would be a great stepping stone to you learning how to get active in our government processes. Check in with your counselor or Government teacher to get the details.
