Hey all – I have an awesome summer camp opportunity for you. Check it out:
The Society of American Military Engineers, in collaboration with the Military Services, offers a series of engineering/STEM camps designed for High School students who excel in math, science and technology courses and are interested in pursuing engineering, architecture, or a related field in college. These one–week camps are high energy, hands–on events for students from across the country and around the world. The camps are led by a professional staff of engineers from both private industry and the uniformed military services.
Greeting from Colorado Northwestern Community College.
We are excited to announce that CNCC is now offering summer dinosaur digs. Our first excavation is planned for this summer, and we would like to invite you and your teachers and staff to work alongside professional paleontologist to uncover fossils that have been buried for over 65 million years.
Teachers from all disciplines and staff from every department can spend two weeks of their summer in the heart of dinosaur country learning about paleontology by digging, brushing and uncovering a unique fossilized specimen. CNCC’s Summer Paleontology Camp will offer two sessions on the Rangely Campus, each two weeks in duration. Teachers and staff can participate in the non-credit camp only or choose to earn three college credit hours by enrolling in GEY 229, Paleontology Field Studies. On-campus housing and food service are available. No prior experience is required to take advantage of this amazing opportunity.
I have attached an electronic copy of our brochure for distribution to your colleagues. Additional information and application materials can be found at www.cncc.edu/paleontology. Space is limited, so please pass this information along as quickly as possible.
